"Our ethos has always been to provide excellent education and care for our children, providing a ‘home from home’ for every individual child in our care. We set the bar very high, from management through to every member of the childcare team, to ensure we strive to get the best out of each other, every single day"
- Louise Barret, General Manager
Our relationships with our parents are paramount. Unlike many crèches, our relationship doesn’t end when the child is collected at the end of the day. We provide daily reports – both oral and written - of children’s progress, any issues that arise, and any special needs.
And because nutrition is such an important aspect of the Park Academy experience, we regularly seek input from parents about our menus.
We also create informal social opportunities – coffee evenings, breakfast mornings, etc – for parents to get together and share ideas and experiences. Working parents are busy people, and it can be difficult for them to find time to speak with other parents in a similar situation. These get-togethers help parents build a network of mutual support.
Furthermore, we also offer annual seminars for parents, inviting speakers such as child psychologist David Coleman, chef Nevin McGuire and nutritionist Paula Mee to share tips and techniques to help bring joy and confidence into the challenges of child-rearing.
