Montessori

We offer special Montessori areas in our centres, supplied with the ‘self-correcting’ materials that characterise the Montessori approach.

Because ‘hands on’ sensory learning is central to this approach, we advocate learning-by-doing, enabling children to work independently with materials they choose themselves.

Our home-from-home approach is also indebted to Montessori’s philosophy of making the learning environment both familiar and accessible.

Also, extremely importantly, we share the Montessori belief that the link between the learning environment and the family is paramount. Our ‘family trees,’ daily reports to parents, breakfast mornings, new parent evenings and special guest events are all examples of this emphasis.
